Widmungslegende „IOACHIMO DIONATENSI PICTORI“. Darunter in 2 Kolumnen je 6 iamb. lat. Verse: Has inter omnes nulla quod viuacius / Ioachime, imago cernitur / Expressa quam vultus tuus, non hinc modo / Factum est, quod illam Curtij / In aera dextra incidit, alteram sibi / Quae non timet nunc aemulam: // / Sed quod tuam Dureres [recte: -rus] admirans manum / Dum rura pingis, et casas / Olim exarauit in palimpsesto tuos / Vultus ahena cuspide. / Quas aemulatus lineas se Curtius, / Nedum praeiuit ceteros. (Daß unter all diesen Bildnissen [der Hondius-Sammlung] keines sprechender ausgefallen ist als Dein Porträt, Joachim, kommt nicht nur daher, daß Corts Rechte es in Kupfer grub, welche momentan keine andere Hand als Rivalin fürchtet, // sondern auch daher, daß Dürer einst, Deine Hand bewundernd, während Du Fluren und Häuser maltest, Deine Züge mit dem Silbergriffel auf Pergament zeichnete. Dieser Zeichnung nacheifernd übertraf Cort sich selber, geschweige denn die andern)."
