MDCCXI aet[atis] LXXXI.“ Darunter im Sockel 4 distich. lat. Verse mit Widmung „Aeterni nominis honorib[us] Viri consummatissimi appl[ausit]“ von Samuel Faber (1657–1716), Rektor des Egidianums in Nürnberg [A 6234/35]: Tam clarum, ex umbra hac, Libitinae jura subisse, / quid gemitis Nymphe Norica, Musa, Themis? / Huic umbrae Responsa Viri, quin addite mentis / perpetuam, Libros, icona, vivus erit. (Daß ein so berühmter Mann nach diesem Schattenleben der Todesgöttin den schuldigen Zoll bezahlt hat: warum klagt ihr darüber, nürnbergische Nymphe, Muse und Themis? | Fügt zu seinem Schattenbild die Rechtsbescheide des Mannes, ja, fügt seine Bücher, dieses unvergängliche Bildnis seines Geistes, hinzu, und er wird lebendig sein)."
