Verse mit Widmung „Illustri ac Generos[o] IOANNI GODOFREDO de MEIERN, | hic publice conspicuo, ita subscribebat“ von Christoph August Heumann (1681–1764), Prof. d.Theol. in Göttingen [A 9551–9554]: Scriptor hic est PACIS, tibi qua, Germania, dirum / Reddita post bellum vita salusque fuit. / At non est scriptor brevis: in scena est simul actor, / ACTAque distincte conspicienda dedit. / Tam magnum PACIS tam magnificumque theatrum / Perpetuum actori/autori PLAUDITE jure dabit. (Dies ist der Historiker des Friedens, durch den dir, Deutschland, nach dem schrecklichen Krieg das Leben und Heil wiedergegeben wurde. | Doch ist er kein knapper Beschreiber: er ist zugleich auf der Bühne ein Darsteller und hat die Akten [Wortspiel actor/ acta] so herausgegeben, daß man jede Einzelheit studieren kann. | Das so große und so prächtige Friedenstheater wird dem Darsteller/Verfasser [Wortspiel actor/autor] unaufhörlichen Beifall spenden)."
