CAL. IUL. Ao. CHR[isti] MDXCIX. PIE DENAT[us] XVIII. CAL. DECEMBR. Ao. MDLXIII [recte: MDCLXIII].“ – In der mit dem Oval verbundenen Sockelkartusche 6 distich. lat. Verse mit Widmung des Sohnes „f[ilialis] o[bservantiae e[rgo] | f[ecit] | G[ottfried] C[hristoph] M[ämminger]“: Hac MAEMMINGERI facies est picta tabella: / Qua possit pingi mens ratione rogas? / Pinge senem meritis, ornantem grandibus Urbem, / Eusebien junge et Pallada, junge Themin; / MAEMMINGERUS erit. Quem lugent morte peremptu[m] / Patres et Cives, Curia, Templa, Scholae. (Maemmingers Gesicht ist auf diesem Blatt dargestellt; doch auf welche Weise könnte man seinen Geist abbilden, fragst du? | Bilde einen Greis ab, der durch große Verdienste seine Stadt schmückt, füge Frömmigkeit, Bildung und Gerechtigkeit hinzu, | und es wird Maemminger sein.
