Distichon [von Marcus Henning]: Guintia, magnanimum, Turcae quando obstitit hosti, / SCHERTLINVM, et monstrant bella sequuta virum. (Guintia(?), als es dem Türkenfeind widerstand, und die darauf folgenden Kriegszüge erweisen Schertlin als hochgemuten Helden). Über dem Stich in Typendruck 3zeil. Wiederholung der Ovalumschrift. Unter dem Stich in Typendruck weitere 6 distich. lat. Verse: AErea SCHERTLINVS prima est hic imago suorum, / Fortia quem referas facta patrando nepos. / Praedoni, hoc, Turcae non obstitit acrior alter, / Guintia dum Turcas reppulit oppidulum: / Hunc Schertlinum Itali, Germania, Gallia nôrunt, / Tollere quem poterit non nisi summa dies. (Dieser Schertlin ist das erste in Kupfer gestochene Ahnenbild der Seinen: mach es ihm nach, Enkel, indem du Heldentaten vollbringst. | Kein anderer widerstand dem türkischen Räuber energischer als dieser, als das Städtchen Guintia die Türken zurückschlug. | Diesen Schertlin kennt Italien, kennen Deutschland und Frankreich, und nur der Jüngste Tag kann sein Gedächtnis tilgen).
