Verse mit Widmung „Desideratissimo Collegae, Fautori et Amico“ von Johann Julius Bütemeister (1691–1738), Pastor an St. Andreas In Braunschweig: Ingenuam frontem Baertlingi haec sistit imago; / Nunc animi dotes noscere porro cupis? / At, si Lysippo similis jam duceret aera, / Virtutes raras fingere nemo potest. / Grex Jesu luget, sed spe quoque jungitur illi; / Nam tenet urna parum, caetera cuncta polus. (Baertlings edle Stirn stellt dir dies Bild vor Augen: Jetzt möchtest du seine Geistesgaben gern weiter kennenlernen? || Doch niemand – und wenn er selbst einem Lysipp gleichend das Erz bearbeitete – vermag die seltenen Tugenden darzustellen. || Die Herde Jesu trauert, aber verbindet sich ihm auch in Hoffnung, denn die Urne enthält nur wenig, das übrige hat alles der Himmel)"
