M. mit belorbeertem Helm u. seitlich mit großen Voluten u. Fruchtgehängen geschmücktem Aufbau auf in der Mitte einspringendem Sockel innerhalb Kreuzschraffur-Rechteck. Auf den seitlichen Voluten je ein Putto, l. mit Lanze über einem Gorgoschild, r. mit 2 Posaunen. – Lat. Ovalumschrift „BARTHOLOMAEVS SPRANGER, S[acrae] / CAES[areae] M[aiestatis] PICTOR CELEBERRIMVS [Zierstücke]“. Im Sockelrücksprung an Bukranion aufgehängte Kartusche mit 7zeil. lat. Widmung des Malers „NATVRAE OMNIPARENTI | PRAESTANTISSIMI EIVS AEMVLI IMAGINEM, | INVIDIA GEMENTE. | D[icat] D[edicat] | IOANNES AB ACH. S[uus?] ITEM | CAES[areae] M[aiestatis] PICTOR | An[n]o 1597.“ [Der Allmutter Natur weiht dieses Bildnis ihres hervorragendsten Nachahmers (während der Neid vor Wut stöhnt) ihr Hans von Aachen, ebenfalls Maler Seiner Kaiserlichen Majestät, im Jahr 1597]."
