Suprascriptio in Typendruck „LVDOVICVS DVX VIRTEMBERG[ensis] ET | TECCEN[sis,] COMES MOMPELGARDEN[sis].“ – Im Stich unter dem Bild lat. Distichon: Hac, Dux Tectosagum, facie, LVDOVICE, fuisti, / Aurea, quis fueris, pax tibi culta probat. (Dies Antlitz besaßest Du, LUDWIG, Herzog der Tectosagen [eigentlich ein keltischer Volksstamm in Südfrankreich]. Wer Du warst, erweist der von Dir gepflegte goldene Frieden). Unter dem Stich weitere 6 distich. lat. Verse in Typendruck: TEctosage, et rura Ducem Charitina vocârunt / Te, laus celsarum [recte: orum] Dux LVDOVICE, Ducum: / Ac ut eras sanctas ad pacis idoneus artes, / Vt tibiq[ue] in miti gloria parta togâ est; / Sic, toga ceu lauro magis est laudabilis, ante / Tu magis hoc alios ibis honore Duces. (Tectosage<?> und die charitinischen<?> Fluren nannten Dich Herzog, Fürst Ludwig, Du Ruhm erhabener Herzöge. | Und wie Du geeignet warst für die frommen Künste des Friedens und Dir Ruhm erwarbst im milden Friedenskleid, | so wirst Du – wie das Friedenskleid löblicher ist als der <Kriegs>lorbeer in diesem Ruhm die anderen Herzöge übertreffen). - Darunter r.
