Ovalumschrift „SIGISMVNDVS III D[ei] G[ratia] POLONIAE ET SVECIAE REX, MAGNVS LITHVANIAE, RVSSIAE &c DVX 1598“. Unten 6 lat. Hexameter von Matthias Quad: Aequoris Arctoi Princeps, validißimus armis, / Aere virisque potens (Regna hîc taceo ampla Poloni, / Contentus patrijs saltem) me Baltica quamuis / Littora circumdent, cursus tamen vndique nobis / Ad populos plures, vrbes patet atq[ue] potentes, / Maxima pars quorum nostro sunt subdita sceptro. (Des Nordmeeres Fürst <bin ich>, überaus stark an Waffen, an Geld und Männern mächtig (das weite Polenreich verschweige ich hier, mit dem väterlichen mich begnügend); obwohl mich die Ostseeküsten umgeben, steht mir dennoch nach allen Seiten der Lauf zu mehr Völkern und mächtigen Städten offen, von denen der größte Teil meinem Szepter untertan ist). Der von eigener Platte gedruckte Stich eingefügt in rechteck. Zierrahmen, u. M. Löwenkopf."
