PATRIAE LIBERTATIS RESTITVTOR.“ In den Ecken des umschließenden gerahmten Rechtecks o. blasende Winde, u. delphinartige Meereswesen, dazwischen seitl. Brandfackeln, u. M. ein Salamander. Unter dem Bild 6 lat. Hexameter: Genua quem genuit, genui quam deinde vicissim / Dauria qui merui Carolo sub Caesare Quinto, / Turcorum terror, piratarumque subactor, / Barbara quem sensit tellus, et capta Thinissa, / Arx et Aphrodisium, Moreaeque urbs celsa Corone, / Mors rapuit lustris decies prope quinque peractis. (Den Genua gezeugt hat, das ich dann meinerseits neu geschaffen habe [Wortspiel Genua/genuit/genui], ich, Doria, der ich unter Kaiser Karl V. gedient habe, der Schrecken der Türken und Besieger der Seeräuber, den das Barbarenland und das besiegte Tunis zu spüren bekamen und die Burg Aphrodisium und Kretas hochragende Stadt Korone: mich hat jetzt der Tod dahingerafft, nachdem ich beinahe 75 Jahre gelebt habe)."
