Sockel mit gekreuzten Laubzweigen besteckte Wappenkartusche. Darunter auf mit 4 Nägeln befestigtem Tuch 6 iamb. lat. Verse von J. B.Reboul: Sic ora gessit, amor Chori parnasij, / Malherba; qui novum decus, / nouos lepores patriae linguae attulit; /  et Gallicam poëticen / Graecâ expolivit, ac Latinâ pumice, / nouamque prorsus condidit. (Solche Züge trug Malherbe, der Liebling des parnassischen Chors, der seiner Muttersprache neues Ansehen und neue Anmut gebracht und die französische Dichtkunst mit dem griechischen und lateinischen Bimsstein geglättet und sie geradezu neu begründet hat)."
