Devise aus den Namensinitialen „Symb: | Finis Est | Spectandus“ [Man muß auf das Ende sehen]. – Im Sockel 4 distich. lat. Verse mit Widmung „Joachim Burmester | amoris ergo fecit“: En Strausi vultum: qvid at [recte: ad?] hoc? quin hunc lege librum, / Qvaeq[ue] latent intus, conspicienda dabit / Sed parte ex minimâ: vis plura? freqvens fac ut adsis, / Scharnebecensis ubi sacra docenda cohors. (Sieh hier Strauss’ Antlitz! Was noch? Nun, so lies dies Buch, und was im Innern verborgen ist, wird es dir anzuschauen geben, | aber nur zum kleinsten Teil. Du willst mehr?
